The dream of living in Moab started for Eric when he was 5 years old. His incredible parents, Doug and Linda along with sister Sara took him to the desert to raft the Green River for many years and his first time rock climbing was at the age of 8 on the Kane Creek Road just outside of Moab. You could say climbing in the desert is in his blood. The passion to be on the rocks has taken Eric all over the walls of Yosemite, Joshua Tree, Sierra Nevada's, Red Rocks, Canada, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Puerto Rico and just recently to the world renowned Hampi bouldering area in India. As well as being an experienced traveler he has also established hundreds of first ascents (California, Nevada, Utah), some of which you will climb on our rock climbing tours. After arriving for a brief stay in 2005 with another broken down vehicle story, he met amazing friends who quickly became family and made the move from California in 2006.  After a previous position with FiveTen, the rock climbing/adventure life continued. For years he held down many jobs to make the dream a reality and in 2010 decided it was time to create a guide service sharing all he loved about the desert. In 2011 Windgate Adventures was born.
