Fiery Furnace Guided Hike in Arches National Park

The Fiery Furnace is an intricate maze of thin sandstone formations creating narrow slot style canyons. This is the only area in Arches that requires a professional guide. There is no trail and you are encouraged to accompany your guide both for your safety and to diminish impacts on the delicate landscape you will be traveling through. Your Windgate Adventures guide will bring you, your family or friends to hidden arches, spires and incredible views. It is a trip you will remember for a long time...there is no place like it.
This guided hike is an enjoyable trip for all adults and children (minimum age 8 years). The loop hike through the Fiery Furnace is about 2 miles in length and will require 2 ½ to 3 hours to complete. (Average time 4-5 hours town to town). The hike winds through terrain that involves the use of your entire body to scramble through narrow cracks and along narrow ledges. Our guide will be with you, explaining the landscape and helping you enjoy your time and experience which is not hard to do. Make sure to bring your camera because your friends won’t believe you until you show them.
